'Wanna team up and take out these aliens?' 'Say, Shadow!' Sonic said, following him. Shadow merely nodded at Sonic and walked on. Shadow had battled Sonic alongside Rouge the Bat and E-123 Omega the robot built by Eggman once before, then they'd joined sides to battle a threat greater than even Dr. Shadow had met him before, both on friendly and not-so-friendly occasions. 'Hey, Shadow!' he called, giving the red and black hedgehog a thumbs-up. 'What the hell?! Why are they attacking me?!' Shadow cursed.
He stepped back, and used a quick Homing Attack to take it out. Shadow walked past one area where a GUN troop was then smited by a beam from the sky. They looked similar to the ones in that image. Shadow saw human soldiers bravely resisting the aliens. Shadow ran too fast for any of them to hit. Shadow ran through the city, laser beams from the aliens' war craft raining down on the city.
